Job summary

Tennessee Board of Regents is seeking a skilled HVAC, electrical, and plumbing Systems Mechanic to perform preventive maintenance and repairs across campus facilities. The role requires advanced knowledge in all three trades and the ability to diagnose issues, prioritize work, and ensure safe, reliable operation of campus systems.

Responsibilities include inspecting and upgrading electrical, plumbing, and HVAC installations, maintaining logs and regulatory records, and executing related projects

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of combined HVAC/electrical/plumbing experience (min 2 years in electrical).
• EPA Universal Certification.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Knowledge of NEC and plumbing codes.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, maintain, repair, and upgrade electrical systems per NEC and safety standards.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, maintain, repair, and upgrade plumbing systems per codes.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair HVAC systems including controls and units.
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs, test reports, refrigerant records, and regulatory docs.
• Perform other related duties or special projects as assigned.
