Job summary

Motlow is seeking a HVAC, Electrical & Plumbing Systems Mechanic to maintain and repair campus electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems. The role requires advanced knowledge across three trades and the ability to diagnose issues and prioritize work for safe operation.

The position is full-time, based on the Tennessee campus, with responsibilities including inspections, preventive maintenance, and documentation. Long-term employment is expected with adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years combined experience in HVAC, electrical, and plumbing; at least 2 years in electrical and 2 years in plumbing.
• EPA Universal Certification; valid driver’s license.
• Knowledge of NEC and plumbing codes.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, maintain, repair, and, as needed, install or upgrade electrical systems per NEC and safety standards.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, maintain, repair, and as needed, install or upgrade plumbing systems per codes and safety standards.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair HVAC systems including split systems, rooftops, heat pumps, chillers, boilers, and BAS/DDC controls.
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs, test reports, refrigerant records, and regulatory documentation.
