Job summary

Tennessee Board of Regents is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform basic maintenance and repairs across its campuses under the Maintenance Supervisor. The role covers electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and general building repair with travel to extended campuses as needed.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, three years of maintenance experience, and a valid driver’s license. A background check is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Three years’ building maintenance experience.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Must pass a background investigation including MVR and criminal background report.
• Knowledge of basic construction, plumbing, electrical and preventive maintenance principles.

Responsibilities

• Responds to and completes work orders in a timely manner.
• Performs plumbing repairs including faucets, caulking, and fixtures.
• Performs electrical repairs including light fixtures, bulbs, outlets and switches.
• Prepares, primes and paints interior/exterior surfaces; installs drywall and related items.
• Maintains inventory and assists with campus event setup/breakdown.
