Job summary

Tennessee Board of Regents is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform basic maintenance and repairs to electrical, plumbing and other building systems across seven campuses. You will handle carpentry, painting, and general repair tasks under supervision, responding to work orders and supporting event setup as needed.

Required are a high school diploma or GED, three years of maintenance experience, a valid driver's license, and the ability to pass a background check.

Qualifications

• Three years of building maintenance experience.
• Valid driver's license and ability to pass background checks.

Responsibilities

• Respond to work orders and complete maintenance tasks promptly.
• Perform plumbing repairs, caulking, and fixture replacement.
• Handle electrical repairs including fixtures, bulbs, switches.
• Prime and paint interior/exterior surfaces.
• Install/repair drywall, doors, and related fixtures.
• Move and assemble furniture and assist with event setups.
• Travel to extended campuses as needed for maintenance.
• Maintain inventory of parts and report replenishment needs.
