Ace Hardware Home Services, Inc. is seeking a Field Support Manager to elevate plumbing, HVAC and electrical training across field technicians and supervisors.

You will design programs, ride-alongs, and coaching to raise revenue per technician and improve safety and customer satisfaction. This role requires extensive experience in field operations leadership, multi-trade training, and the ability to translate technical concepts into practical instruction.

Qualifications

• 15+ years leading field technicians and field ops.
• 7+ years multi-trade training across plumbing, HVAC, electrical.
• Owned/operated a mid-to-large residential home-services org with revenue accountability.
• Proven improvement of field performance metrics like productivity and CSAT.
• Strong communication and facilitation skills for classroom and field coaching.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver multi-trade training programs
• Build structured training curricula for service and installation technicians across plumbing, HVAC, and electrical, including technical skills, diagnostics, safety, and customer communication.
• Conduct classroom, shop, and field-based training on systems, diagnostics, installation best practices, and company procedures.
• Coordinate manufacturer certifications and continuing education for technicians.
• Field coaching and ride-alongs: observe work, reinforce processes, and coach customer-facing behavior; assist with challenging service calls.
• Role plays and sales/revenue enablement: develop talk tracks and close techniques for maintenance plans and upgrades.
• Supervisor and frontline leader development: coach managers and deliver train-the-trainer sessions.
• Train the Trainer Program: establish internal coaches network and training materials.
• Quality, safety and compliance: reinforce safety and regulatory compliance across trades.
• Measurement, reporting and continuous improvement: track KPIs and update training content.
