Job summary

Stratolaunch is seeking a skilled Facilities Technician to maintain and repair electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and general building systems at the Mojave, CA facility. The role emphasizes preventive maintenance, safety, and timely response to requests.

This position requires hands-on multi-trade capability, the ability to work independently with minimal supervision, and strong problem-solving skills. A high school diploma is required with a preference for an associate degree in electrical or HVAC

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical trade school, apprenticeship, or associate degree preferred.
• 5+ years of facilities maintenance, building engineering, or multi-trade technician experience.
• Demonstrated hands-on experience in: Electrical troubleshooting and repair; HVAC maintenance and diagnostics; Plumbing repair and installation; Mechanical systems maintenance; General building repair and preventative maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on facility systems, equipment, and building infrastructure.
• Diagnose and repair electrical systems, including lighting, outlets, breakers, panels, switches, low-voltage controls, and basic electrical equipment.
• Maintain and troubleshoot HVAC equipment, including air handlers, rooftop units, split systems, thermostats, exhaust systems, filters, belts, motors, and controls.
• Repair and maintain plumbing systems, including sinks, toilets, faucets, drains, water heaters, valves, piping, and fixtures.
• Conduct routine inspections to identify safety hazards, equipment issues, and facility repair needs.
• Perform general building repairs, including carpentry, drywall, painting, flooring, doors, locks, ceilings, and minor concrete or masonry repairs.
