Job summary

Sunrise Point Health and Rehab is seeking a proactive Maintenance Assistant to join our facilities team. You will support upkeep, repair, and maintenance of building systems to ensure a safe, comfortable environment for residents and staff.

This role involves inspecting HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems; performing repairs with tools; assisting carpentry tasks; reading schematics; supervising projects; and addressing maintenance requests with professionalism.

Qualifications

• Experience in facilities maintenance and repair operations.
• Ability to read schematics and technical diagrams.
• Strong communication and safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems.
• Conduct repairs using hand tools, welding techniques, and electrical repair skills.
• Maintain facilities equipment and troubleshoot as needed.
• Assist with carpentry tasks to support aesthetics and safety.
• Read schematics and diagnose electrical or mechanical problems.
• Supervise or assist maintenance projects, ensuring safety protocols are followed and work is completed efficiently.
• Respond to maintenance requests from staff or residents with professionalism.
