Job summary

The California State University’s Tutoring & Academic Support Center (TASC) seeks upper-division SF State students for the Spring 2027 Tutor position. You will provide math/science/quantitative business support through one-on-one appointments and drop-in sessions, helping students reach their academic goals.

New tutors receive two hours of paid weekly training in their first semester, with sessions on Wednesday afternoons between 12–4 pm, and there are both work-study and non-work-study options.

Qualifications

• Current graduate or upper-division SF State student enrolled at least half time (4 units for grad / 6 units for undergrad)
• GPA of 3.0 or higher
• Preference for year-long commitment and ability to work both in person and online

Responsibilities

• Provide math/science instruction tutoring in one-on-one and drop-in sessions
• Develop transferable professional skills aligned with NACE Career Competencies
• Participate in paid training and staff workshops for tutors
