Job summary

Pendleton Woolen Mills in Portland seeks a Retail Stores Operations Manager to drive the operational and financial performance of our stores. You will partner with the Director of Stores to meet sales, margin and inventory goals while enforcing company policies, safety standards, and exceptional customer service.

You will lead process improvements, oversee store projects and loss prevention, manage inventory accuracy, and coordinate training.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Retail Management, Business Management, or related field (equiv. education/experience considered).
• 5 years multi-store management experience.
• 3 years retail store operations/project management experience.
• Retail planning and math aptitude.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and collaborate in a team.
• Strong organization and attention to detail; able to meet deadlines.
• Adaptability to changing priorities; manage workload.
• Ability to build relationships with management and external resources.
• Strong Excel skills; quick mastery of new applications.
• MS Office: Word, Outlook, PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of NetSuite, SCIS, RF-Smart a plus.
• Willingness to travel between stores.
• Flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Director of Stores to meet sales, margin and inventory plans.
• Manage financial results related to loss prevention and store expenses.
• Authorize purchases for operations.
• Lead process improvements to increase store efficiency.
• Mentor teams and implement best practices across locations.
• Lead project cohorts and drive store initiatives.
• Improve efficiencies in supplies, organization, and safety.
• Coordinate store projects: openings, closings, relocations, remodels.
• Oversee installation of store services (media, music, alarms, trackers).
• Develop and update retail policies, procedures, and training manuals.
• Lead loss prevention initiatives and annual inventory process; reconcile discrepancies.
• Oversee inventory training and accuracy; ensure proper assortments.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
