Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores, Inc. is seeking a District Manager in Training to oversee operations across multiple stores within a district while working with Store Managers.

You will lead store leaders, drive sales, and ensure excellent customer experiences as part of a structured on-the-job learning program. You will travel up to 50% of the time to support and supervise operations, recruit and train new associates, and mentor teams toward leadership roles.

Qualifications

• Leadership and supervisory experience are required.
• Experience with merchandising is required.
• Previous recruiting experience is required.
• Excellent communication skills required.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height and meet demands of frequent movement.
• Multi-unit retail management experience, preferably dealing with hardlines/variety merchandise is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop store leaders that deliver shopping experiences that exceed customer expectations.
• Analyze district sales results and trends to increase sales.
• Maintain inventory mix and merchandise presentation to maximize sales in each store.
• Partner with store managers to recruit and train new associates.
• Foster the growth and development of associates into leadership roles.
• Manage payroll hours and store cash control.
• Ensure audits and inventory shrinkage are managed.
• Provide exceptional customer service and maintain professional store environments.
