Pepperjacks Subs in Maryland is seeking a dependable Food Prep team member for a fast-paced, hands-on role. You will work across multiple stations, preparing subs, salads, and sides, while maintaining safety and quality standards.

You will safely operate a meat slicer, fryer, and the Toast POS system, supporting outbound orders and customer service. The role emphasizes teamwork, flexibility to move between stations, and a strong work ethic.

Qualifications

• Proficient English for customer communication and safety
• Customer service experience preferred
• Teamwork and reliability in a fast-paced setting
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
• Able to operate Toast POS system and kitchen equipment

Responsibilities

• Prepare subs, sandwiches, and salads according to recipes and standards
• Safely operate a commercial meat slicer
• Complete daily food prep, portioning, slicing, and stocking
• Operate fryer and prepare fried items
• Prepare and spin milkshakes
• Answer phones and take call-in orders accurately
• Enter and manage orders using Toast POS
• Assist with customer service and order fulfillment
• Maintain proper food temperatures, portioning, and presentation
• Keep workstations clean, organized, sanitized, and stocked
• Follow food safety and sanitation procedures
• Complete opening, shift, and closing duties
• Work efficiently during busy periods with accuracy and quality
• Communicate with coworkers and management and help other stations as needed
