PepperJacks Subs is seeking a dependable Sandwich Maker to join our fast-paced restaurant team. This hands-on role spans multiple stations including prep, fryer, and POS duties, supporting a smooth service flow.

Ideal candidates have restaurant experience, excellent customer service skills, and are comfortable using Toast POS. This in-person position offers growth and a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

Job description

SANDWICH MAKER

We are looking for a dependable, hardworking, and team-oriented Sandwich Maker to join our fast-paced restaurant team. This is a hands-on position that requires employees to work across multiple stations and help wherever needed to keep service running smoothly.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare subs, sandwiches, and salads according to company recipes and standards.
• Safely operate a commercial meat slicer.
• Complete daily food prep, portioning, slicing, and stocking.
• Operate the fryer and prepare fried menu items.
• Prepare and spin milkshakes.
• Answer phones and accurately take call-in orders.
• Enter and manage customer orders using the Toast Point of Sale system.
• Assist with customer service and order fulfillment as needed.
• Maintain proper food temperatures, portioning, and presentation.
• Keep workstations clean, organized, sanitized, and fully stocked.
• Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures.
• Complete assigned opening, shift, and closing responsibilities.
• Work efficiently during busy periods while maintaining accuracy and quality.
• Communicate with coworkers and management and assist other stations when needed.

Qualifications:

• Must be able to speak and understand English sufficiently to communicate with customers and coworkers, take phone orders, read order tickets, and follow safety instructions.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Previous restaurant, deli, sandwich shop, or food preparation experience preferred.
• Comfortable learning and operating the Toast POS system.
• Able to safely operate a meat slicer, fryer, and other commercial kitchen equipment after required training.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be team-oriented and willing to help wherever needed.
• Able to stand for extended periods and perform the physical duties associated with a restaurant position.

This is a team position, not a single-station job. Team members should be willing and able to move between sandwich making, prep, fryer, milkshakes, phones, POS, stocking, and cleaning based on the needs of the business.
