Job summary

Hunting Energy Services in Houston, TX seeks an experienced payroll professional to own multi-state payroll processing and ensure accuracy and timeliness per pay cycle. You will reconcile data in UKG and maintain compliant payroll records.

The role serves as the main payroll contact, updating employee records, benefits and tax data, and supporting HR processes. CPP certification is preferred; strong MS Office skills and a collaborative mindset are desired.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in multi-state payroll.
• UKG experience preferred.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Own and process multi-state payroll from start to finish, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Process and reconcile payroll data, resolving discrepancies in the HRIS system (UKG).
• Review tax and payroll records to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for payroll-related questions and issues.
• Compile, update, and maintain accurate employee records including compensation, benefits, tax data, performance evaluations, and termination details.
• Update personnel files to reflect employment changes and ensure accurate payroll/reporting data.
