Superior Energy Services in Houston, TX is seeking a Payroll Specialist to administer elements of domestic payroll, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of earnings, deductions, and tax elections.

Responsibilities include daily payroll operations, journal entries, and ad hoc reporting. A CPP is preferred but not required; 4–6 years of multi-state payroll experience is expected. Strong Excel and confidentiality skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 4‑6 years experience processing multi‑state payroll.
• CPP is preferred but not required.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state regulations.
• Strong PC skills including proficiency in Excel.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily payroll department operations.
• Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate reports.
• Process off-cycle payroll with various bookings.
• Develop ad hoc financial and operational reporting as needed.
• Understand proper taxation of employer paid benefits.
