Job summary

Addison Group is seeking an experienced HR Manager to oversee day-to-day HR operations across multiple states from its Houston location. The role focuses on compliance, payroll-related processes, employee relations, and implementing consistent HR practices across sites.

The ideal candidate has 7–10 years of progressive HR experience, 4–5+ years in management, and hands-on expertise with multi-state HR, prevailing wage, and certified payroll requirements. Spanish bilingual skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 7–10 years of progressive HR experience.
• 4–5+ years of HR management or leadership experience.
• Hands-on experience with multi-state HR operations.
• Strong knowledge of employment and wage-and-hour regulations.
• Direct experience with prevailing wage and certified payroll required.
• Experience preparing, reviewing, and/or submitting certified payroll reports.
• Strong employee relations and compliance experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee HR operations across multiple states and locations.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state employment and wage-and-hour laws.
• Provide guidance on state-specific employment regulations.
• Manage employee relations matters, investigations, corrective actions, and terminations.
• Administer FMLA, ADA accommodations, workers’ compensation, and applicable state leave programs.
• Manage onboarding, I-9 compliance, employee separations, and personnel records.
• Maintain and administer employee handbooks, policies, and procedures.
• Partner with managers and operational leaders across multiple locations.
