Mayo Clinic seeks a Certified Surgical Assistant to support surgeons across multiple specialties in a high-volume perioperative setting. The role requires certification by NSAA or NBSTSA and recent OR experience, with strong emphasis on aseptic technique and patient safety.

Competenze

• Graduate of a Surgical Assistant program or equivalent surgical assistant training.
• Currently certified as a Certified Surgical Assistant (CSA) through NSAA or as a CSFA through NBSTSA.
• Relevant operating room experience or training within the past 3 years is preferred.

Mansioni

• Assist the surgeon during surgical procedures and anticipate the needs of the surgeon.
• Maintain aseptic technique and perioperative policies.
• Work in a multi-specialty perioperative setting across listed surgeries such as general, ortho, neuro, spine, ENT, gynecology, urology, cardiovascular, thoracic, vascular, trauma, plastics, transplant, colon-rectal, and pediatric surgery.
