Job summary

Mayo Clinic in Minnesota is seeking a Certified Surgical Assistant to join a multi-specialty perioperative team. You will assist surgeons, apply aseptic technique, and anticipate needs across general, orthopedic, neurosurgery and more.

Graduate of a Surgical Assistant program with CSA (NSAA) or CSFA (NBSTSA) certification and active BLS are required; OR experience preferred and relocation support may be available. This is a non-visa sponsorship role with competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Surgical Assistant program or equivalent training.
• Currently certified as CSA (NSAA) or CSFA (NBSTSA).
• BLS certification required and kept valid.
• Recent operating room experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• First assist surgeon during surgical procedures with proper aseptic technique.
• Anticipate needs of the surgeon and maintain instrument readiness.
• Work in a multi-specialty perioperative setting across diverse surgeries.
