Job summary

Stellar Senior Living in Scottsdale, AZ is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to support the Maintenance Director in daily community operations. You will perform routine repairs, prepare units for new residents, maintain outdoor areas, and assist with safety systems.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED (preferred) and maintenance experience, with ability to lift 50 lbs and work collaboratively with residents and staff. This role requires reliability and good communication skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred or related maintenance experience.
• Ability to perform general maintenance repairs and problem solve.
• Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs and move throughout the building.

Responsibilities

• Performs general maintenance work daily, including replacing light bulbs and repairs.
• Prepares resident apartments for new occupants with painting, cleaning, and maintenance.
• Maintains grounds by mowing, sweeping and trimming trees and shrubs.
• Assists in coordination of community events.
• Assists in maintenance of resident apartments and common areas.
• Supports proper function of emergency systems and safety protocols.
• Assists in transporting and storage of resident property.
• Demonstrates ability to read, write, and speak English to fulfill job requirements.
• Makes independent decisions and solves practical problems using written or oral instructions.
• Works with residents and staff with integrity and teamwork.
• Follows employee handbook policies and HIPAA requirements.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
