Job summary

Larimer County is seeking a Building Maintenance Worker II to help keep more than 35 county buildings running smoothly. You will perform painting, plumbing, carpentry, mechanical, electrical work, and related tasks with the tools and support provided.

A typical day starts at 7:30 am; hours are Monday–Friday, 7:30 am–4:00 pm, with a 24-hour on-call rotation every 3 months. Two years of related experience and a valid driver’s license are required; the county offers comprehensive benefits and

Qualifications

• Two (2) years of experience as a Building Maintenance Worker I or in similar duties.

Responsibilities

• Performs semi-skilled and skilled maintenance tasks including painting, plumbing, carpentry, mechanical, and electrical work.
• Inspects and repairs lighting, wiring, electrical panels, HVAC systems and related equipment.
• Repairs, installs, and maintains plumbing fixtures and systems; carries out carpentry and woodworking tasks.
