Northwestern Medicine seeks a Clinic Assistant to support clinicians in a busy Chicago physician office. Under supervision of a Physician and/or licensed nurse, you will provide direct and indirect patient care, perform laboratory testing, and assist with clerical tasks to keep the clinic running smoothly.

The role emphasizes teamwork, patient communication, equipment maintenance, and adherence to safety and compliance standards.

Formación

• One or more years of recent experience as a clinic assistant in a physician office or hospital setting, or completion of a medically related training program, or current enrollment in a medically related program.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an American Heart Association accredited source within 90 days if hired for The Health Network; required day one in Academic Medical System.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsabilidades

• Assist with patient treatments under supervision of a healthcare provider.
• Perform basic screening procedures and specimen collection.
• Screen for and communicate changes in patient condition; document patient care.
• Maintain equipment and medical supplies, including reordering, stocking, cleaning, and troubleshooting.
• Maintain examination area; may perform clerical duties including filing, scheduling, data entry, billing, and patient registration.
