Job summary

Mark-Taylor, Arizona’s leading apartment developer and manager, is hiring a Multi-Site Service Technician in Phoenix. You’ll help keep communities running smoothly by performing maintenance repairs, making ready units, and ensuring safety and quality across properties.

You’ll use knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry and pool maintenance, work with a team, and provide five-star service. The role includes on-call shifts with a $3/hour incentive and certification pay opportunities,

Qualifications

• General knowledge in plumbing, electrical, pool maintenance, HVAC, carpentry, and OSHA standards.
• Knowledge of building systems.
• Service orientation.
• Basic computer skills.
• Experience as apartment turn technician, make ready technician, or work order technician is highly desirable.
• Basic written and verbal English.

Responsibilities

• Assist in completing make-ready units and maintain supply of make-ready units.
• Troubleshoot and repair minor AC/Heating, appliances, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and drywall.
• Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on vacant units.
• Perform daily pool care and maintain chemical balance and safety.
• Perform minor roof repairs, re-key locks, and cut keys.
• Inspect property for safety hazards and report to Manager of Facilities and Service.
• Share on-call duties and respond in uniform when needed.
• Monitor inventory of parts and cleaning supplies.

Compensation:

• The anticipated base pay range for this position is $22.00/hour.
• All service team members who participate in the on-call rotation receive an additional $3.00/hour incentive for all hours worked while on-call.
• Additional hourly pay for EPA, CPO, and OSHA certifications***

Requirements

• General knowledge in the following areas: Plumbing, Electrical, Pool Maintenance, HVAC, Carpentry, Landscape Maintenance, Appliances, and OSHA-related standards
• Knowledge of building systems
• Service orientation.
• Basic computer skills.
• Experience as apartment turn technician, make ready technician, or work order technician is highly desirable.
• A basic understanding of written and verbal English.

In This Role You Will:

• Assist in the completion of make ready units to Mark-Taylor standards and maintains adequate supply of make-ready units for the Community.
• Trouble-shoot, diagnose and correct minor air conditioning and/or heating failures, appliance repairs, electrical problems, plumbing problems, minor carpentry, and drywall repairs.
• Perform necessary repairs and preventative maintenance on vacant units as they become available.
• Perform daily pool care, assures pool is in proper chemical balance and area is free of safety concerns.
• Complete minor roof repairs, re-key locks, and cut keys
• Inspect the property for safety hazards that may pose a liability and corrects the hazard to inform the Manager of Facilities and Service of the hazard.
• Share on-call duty with Manager of Facilities and Service, and service team members and is readily available to go the property if needed and in uniform/badge.
• Assist in monitoring inventory of parts and cleaning supplies.
