Job summary

Mark-Taylor is hiring a Service Technician at CityScape Residences in Phoenix, AZ. You will maintain and repair apartment communities, perform make-ready tasks, and support daily operations to ensure a five-star service experience.

The role involves troubleshooting HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry, applying safety standards, and performing pool and general maintenance. On-call shifts include an incentive, with numerous employee benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• General knowledge in plumbing, electrical, pool maintenance, HVAC and carpentry.
• Knowledge of building systems and OSHA-related standards.
• Strong service orientation and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in completing make-ready units to Mark-Taylor standards.
• Troubleshoot and repair minor HVAC, electrical, plumbing and carpentry issues.
• Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on vacant units.
• Provide daily pool care and ensure chemical balance and safety.
• Inspect property for hazards and assist in safety assessments.
• Share on-call duty and be available in uniform.

In this role, you will help keep our communities running smoothly by handling maintenance repairs and contributing to the upkeep of the community, while providing the five-star service that makes Mark-Taylor communities feel like home.

Compensation:

• The anticipated base pay range for this position is $22.00/hour.
• All service team members who participate in the on-call rotation receive an additional $3.00/hour incentive for all hours worked while on-call.
• Additional hourly pay for EPA, CPO, and OSHA certifications***

Requirements

• General knowledge in the following areas: Plumbing, Electrical, Pool Maintenance, HVAC, Carpentry, Landscape Maintenance, Appliances, and OSHA-related standards
• Knowledge of building systems
• Service orientation.
• Basic computer skills.
• Experience as apartment turn technician, make ready technician, or work order technician is highly desirable.
• A basic understanding of written and verbal English.

In This Role You Will:

• Assist in the completion of make ready units to Mark-Taylor standards and maintains adequate supply of make-ready units for the Community.
• Trouble-shoot, diagnose and correct minor air conditioning and/or heating failures, appliance repairs, electrical problems, plumbing problems, minor carpentry, and drywall repairs.
• Perform necessary repairs and preventative maintenance on vacant units as they become available.
• Perform daily pool care, assures pool is in proper chemical balance and area is free of safety concerns.
• Complete minor roof repairs, re-key locks, and cut keys
• Inspect the property for safety hazards that may pose a liability and corrects the hazard to inform the Manager of Facilities and Service of the hazard.
• Share on-call duty with Manager of Facilities and Service, and service team members and is readily available to go the property if needed and in uniform/badge.
• Assist in monitoring inventory of parts and cleaning supplies.
