Overview

Join to apply for the Service Technician (Ascend at Kierland) role at Mark-Taylor, Inc.

Mark-Taylor is hiring Service Technicians at multiple locations throughout the Greater Phoenix Area. As a Service Technician, you will work at one of our communities and represent Mark-Taylor through the delivery of exceptional customer service while contributing to the upkeep of the physical asset and community grounds.

Starting hourly pay range: $22.00, commensurate with experience and dependent on the specific community\'s level of complexity. Service Technicians typically work a schedule that includes one or more weekend days. Our Service Team members participate in a rotating on-call schedule with additional shift differential pay.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the completion of make-ready units to Mark-Taylor standards and maintain an adequate supply of make-ready units for the community.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose and correct minor air conditioning and/or heating failures, appliance repairs, electrical problems, plumbing problems, minor carpentry, and drywall repairs.
• Perform necessary repairs and preventative maintenance on vacant units as they become available.
• Perform daily pool care, ensure pool is in proper chemical balance and area is free of safety concerns.
• Complete minor roof repairs, re-key locks, and cut keys.
• Inspect the property for safety hazards that may pose a liability and correct hazards; inform the Manager of Facilities and Service about any hazards.
• Share on-call duty with the Manager of Facilities and Service and service team members; be readily available to go to the property if needed and in uniform/badge.
• Assist in monitoring inventory of parts and cleaning supplies.

Qualifications

• General knowledge in: Plumbing, Electrical, Pool Maintenance, HVAC, Carpentry, Landscape Maintenance, Appliances, and OSHA-related standards
• Knowledge of building systems
• Service orientation
• Basic computer skills
• Experience as apartment turn technician, make-ready technician, or work order technician is highly desirable
• Basic understanding of written and verbal English
