Job summary

Mark-Taylor in Phoenix, AZ is hiring a Multi-Site Service Technician to keep our apartment communities running smoothly. You will perform maintenance repairs, make-ready tasks, and maintain safety and quality across the properties.

The role offers on-call work with an extra $3/hour for on-call hours, base pay $22/hour, and additional pay for EPA, CPO, and OSHA certifications. A basic understanding of written and spoken English is required, with opportunities for growth and benefits.

Qualifications

• General knowledge in Plumbing, Electrical, Pool Maintenance, HVAC, Carpentry, Landscape Maintenance, Appliances, and OSHA-related standards.
• Knowledge of building systems.
• Service orientation and basic computer skills.
• Experience as apartment turn technician / make ready / work order technician is desirable.
• Ability to understand written and verbal English.

Responsibilities

• Assist in completing make ready units to Mark-Taylor standards and maintain supply of make-ready units.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose and correct minor HVAC, electrical, plumbing and carpentry issues.
• Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on vacant units as they become available.
• Perform daily pool care and ensure chemical balance and safety compliance.
• Complete minor roof repairs, re-key locks, and cut keys.
• Inspect property for safety hazards and inform Manager of Facilities and Service.
• Share on-call duty with Manager of Facilities and Service and team; remain in uniform.
• Assist in monitoring inventory of parts and cleaning supplies.

Compensation:

• The anticipated base pay range for this position is $22.00/hour.
• All service team members who participate in the on-call rotation receive an additional $3.00/hour incentive for all hours worked while on-call.
• Additional hourly pay for EPA, CPO, and OSHA certifications***

In This Role You Will:

• Assist in the completion of make ready units to Mark-Taylor standards and maintains adequate supply of make-ready units for the Community.
• Trouble-shoot, diagnose and correct minor air conditioning and/or heating failures, appliance repairs, electrical problems, plumbing problems, minor carpentry, and drywall repairs.
• Perform necessary repairs and preventative maintenance on vacant units as they become available.
• Perform daily pool care, assures pool is in proper chemical balance and area is free of safety concerns.
• Complete minor roof repairs, re-key locks, and cut keys
• Inspect the property for safety hazards that may pose a liability and corrects the hazard to inform the Manager of Facilities and Service of the hazard.
• Share on-call duty with Manager of Facilities and Service, and service team members and is readily available to go the property if needed and in uniform/badge.
• Assist in monitoring inventory of parts and cleaning supplies.
