Job summary

Kaftan Communities seeks a hands-on maintenance technician to uphold the property's physical health and safety, perform day-to-day repairs, and prepare units for new residents, ensuring a clean, well-kept, welcoming community. You'll also support current residents with timely work orders.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of hands-on maintenance experience in residential, commercial, or related fields.
• Skills in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and appliance repair.
• A high school diploma or equivalent (certifications like HVAC/EPA are a plus).
• A valid driver’s license and insurance.
• A strong work ethic, problem-solving mindset, and commitment to safety.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks indoors and outdoors.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting and repairing plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, and more.
• Preparing vacant units for new move-ins to meet our high standards.
• Keeping the grounds clean, safe, and inviting — including snow removal and landscaping.
• Handling service requests efficiently and professionally.
• Participating in the on-call rotation to respond to emergency maintenance needs.
• Supporting the property team in creating a great living experience for residents.
