Job summary

Kaftan Communities in Michigan is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician to uphold the property's physical health and safety. You will troubleshoot, repair, and prepare units for new residents across Westbury Village and Foxcroft Townhomes.

The role covers plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, appliance repair, and grounds upkeep, including snow removal. You’ll handle work orders, on-call emergencies, and help create a welcoming living environment.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of hands-on maintenance experience in residential, commercial, or related fields.
• Skills in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and appliance repair.
• A high school diploma or equivalent (HVAC/EPA certifications are a plus).
• A valid driver’s license and insurance.
• A strong work ethic, problem-solving mindset, and commitment to safety.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks indoors and outdoors.

What You’ll Do

In this role, you’ll be the go-to expert for maintaining the property’s physical health and safety. You’ll handle day-to-day repairs, prepare units for new residents, and support a clean, well-kept, and welcoming community. As well as keep current residents satisfied with completion of work orders. You will be working between two locations ( Westbury Village and Foxcroft Townhomes).
