Job summary

Charities Housing seeks a Floating Property Manager to provide on-site coverage across the agency's portfolio when managers are absent. You will supervise daily operations, ensure compliance, and maintain a professional environment for residents.

Strong lease-up experience and knowledge of affordable housing rules are required. Responsibilities include marketing vacancies, processing certifications, collecting rents, and coordinating maintenance across sites in Santa Clara and San Mateo

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in a related field or High School Diploma with three years of relevant property management experience.
• Minimum of three years in affordable property management with Tax Credit or HUD programs.
• Intermediate Excel skills for complex spreadsheets, formulas and reporting.
• In-depth knowledge of affordable housing rules, regulations, and compliance requirements.
• Ability to lease units, market vacancies, explain lease terms and guide residents through moves.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily site operations, ensuring compliance with policies and housing requirements.
• Maintain resident-facing environment and supervise maintenance work orders.
• Manage occupancy, rent and subsidy payments, and accurate record-keeping.
• Coordinate site operations across multiple managers and sites.
• Lead lease-ups, marketing vacancies, and eligibility determinations.
• Develop relationships with residents, vendors and service providers.
