Job summary

JLL is hiring a Mobile Maintenance Mechanic to maintain safety, functionality, and appearance of institutional facilities across a designated territory. You will repair plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC systems and respond to work orders with high service standards.

This field-based role requires travel between sites, independent work, and after-hours on-call readiness. Strong problem-solving, experience with CMMS, and a valid driver's license are essential for success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; relevant trades may be required
• Minimum 3 years of general maintenance experience in commercial or institutional facilities
• Valid driver's license with clean record and ability to drive company vehicles
• Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry and building systems; HVAC knowledge as required
• Proficiency using CMMS and basic tablet/mobile device applications
• Proven troubleshooting skills; ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Commitment to safety procedures and meeting service level agreements

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance to ensure safety and functionality of facilities
• Handle minor plumbing repairs including leaks, fixtures, and water system maintenance
• Repair electrical components; maintain lighting systems and electrical devices
• Carry out carpentry tasks such as door adjustments, hardware installation, and patching
• Troubleshoot HVAC issues including thermostat adjustments and filter changes
• Process work orders via CMMS and meet response time SLAs
• Inspect facilities and coordinate with contractors as needed
• Route daily service between multiple facilities for efficiency
• Maintain company vehicles and ensure safe travel between sites
• Assist with snow/ice removal and safe building access
• Document activities, materials, and tool usage with accuracy
