Job summary

JLL in Bloomington, IL is seeking a Mobile Maintenance Mechanic to maintain the safety, functionality, and appearance of institutional facilities across the assigned territory. You will perform routine repairs and preventive maintenance in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, and building systems while traveling between sites.

You will respond to work orders via CMMS, conduct facility inspections, coordinate routes, and ensure safe operation of company vehicles.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with relevant trade certifications as required by client scope or local jurisdiction.
• Minimum 3 years of general maintenance experience in commercial or institutional facilities.
• Valid driver's license with safe driving record and ability to drive company vehicles safely.
• Proficiency in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and building systems with HVAC knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Perform minor plumbing repairs to ensure water system functionality and leaks are resolved.
• Repair electrical components, replace switches, outlets, and maintain lighting systems.
• Carry out carpentry tasks including door adjustments, hardware installation, and patching.
• Troubleshoot HVAC systems and perform routine maintenance per procedures.
• Process work orders in CMMS and meet service level agreements and response times.
• Inspect facilities regularly and report issues needing contractor involvement.
• Coordinate daily service routes to maximize efficiency and on-time responses.
• Maintain company vehicles in safe condition and operate them during travel.
• Assist with snow/ice removal and maintain safe building access.
• Document activities, materials usage, and keep tools and areas clean.
