Job summary

JLL is seeking a Mobile Maintenance Mechanic to maintain safety, function, and appearance of institutional facilities across our Illinois portfolio, including Naperville, Bolingbrook and Aurora. You will perform plumbing, electrical, carpentry and HVAC tasks across multiple sites.

This role travels between locations, handles work orders in CMMS, and supports after-hours on-call coverage. A high school diploma and at least three years of general maintenance experience, plus a valid driver's

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills in English.
• Proven problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Perform minor plumbing repairs including leak resolution, fixture maintenance, and clearing clogs to ensure proper water system functionality
• Conduct electrical repairs such as replacing switches, outlets, and receptacles, and maintain lighting systems by replacing bulbs, ballasts, and fixtures
• Complete carpentry tasks including door adjustments, hardware installation, cabinetry repairs, wall patching, and painting interior and exterior surfaces
• Execute basic HVAC troubleshooting activities including thermostat adjustments, filter replacements, and resolving simple temperature or airflow issues as directed
• Process and complete work orders through the CMMS while meeting service level agreements and response times
• Conduct routine facility inspections and preventive maintenance activities, identifying issues requiring contractor involvement
• Coordinate daily service routes between multiple facilities to maximize operational efficiency
• Maintain company vehicles and drive them safely across geographic territory
• Perform snow and ice removal and ensure safe building access across facilities
• Document maintenance activities and materials usage with safe, compliant practices
