Job summary

American Oncology Network, Inc. is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians with office-based procedures, phlebotomy, and laboratory testing. You will perform quality control, assist with specimens, and document patient data in the EMR system.

The role requires one year of clinic experience, BLS, and a valid driver’s license for travel to additional clinic locations as needed. Expect regular hours with potential overtime based on patient volume.

Qualifications

• One-year experience as a medical assistant in clinic or physician’s office with ability to perform venipuncture.
• BLS certification is required.
• Valid driver’s license and access to vehicle for travel to other clinic locations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory blood work and phlebotomy procedures.
• Conduct quality control and maintain lab equipment records.
• Prepare slides for evaluation and handle specimen processing.
• Document results in EMR and communicate with physicians.
• Assist physicians with medical procedures including bone marrows, paracentesis, and pelvic exams.
