Job summary

American Oncology Network seeks a Medical Assistant to assist physicians with procedures in the office, perform phlebotomy, laboratory testing, quality control, and instrument maintenance. You will work at Low Country Cancer Care and may travel to other AON locations as needed.

The role requires BLS, a valid driver’s license, and 1 year of MA experience including venipuncture. Expect 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with potential overtime and travel.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• BLS certification required.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle for travel to other clinic locations.

Responsibilities

• Perform proper QC procedures before patient testing.
• Carry out laboratory blood work and venipuncture.
• Prepare slides for evaluation and handle specimens according to protocol.
• Coordinate outside lab testing as dictated by insurance plans.
• Maintain logs and equipment records per regulatory standards.
• Document patient data in EMR and ensure accurate charting.
