Job summary

American Oncology Network is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians with in-office procedures. You will perform phlebotomy, lab testing, and quality control, while documenting results in the EMR system.

Responsibilities include preparing specimens, handling sample processing, and assisting with procedures such as bone marrows or paracentesis as needed. Requires one year of clinic experience and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• One-year experience as a medical assistant in clinic or physician's office with venipuncture capability.
• BLS certification required.
• Valid driver's license and vehicle for travel to other clinic locations as needed.
• Proficiency with EMR and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory blood work.
• Phlebotomy and venipuncture as directed.
• Carry out QA/QC procedures before testing and maintain logs.
• Prepare slides and specimens for evaluation.
• Document lab results in EMR and communicate with physicians.
