Job summary

Sheakley Workforce Staffing seeks a hands-on Safety Manager to oversee safety programs across two manufacturing facilities in Goodwater and Eclectic, AL. You will drive incident investigations, lead a safety team, and ensure compliance with OSHA 1910 and internal standards.

The role requires strong leadership, multi-site management, and the ability to foster a proactive safety culture while coordinating training and risk-reduction initiatives.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in safety leadership and management
• Extensive experience leading incident investigations
• Strong knowledge of OSHA 1910 General Industry Standards
• Experience with Lockout/Tagout (LOTO)
• Experience with machine guarding requirements
• Experience managing PPE programs
• Strong leadership, communication, and coaching skills
• Ability to support multiple manufacturing facilities
• Experience developing and revising safety programs and policies
• Multi-site manufacturing safety management experience

Responsibilities

• Provide overall safety leadership for two manufacturing facilities
• Lead all incident investigations and corrective actions
• Manage and develop a team of 6 direct reports (2 Supervisors, 4 Technicians)
• Ensure compliance with OSHA 1910 and company requirements
• Review and improve safety programs, procedures, and policies
• Conduct site inspections, audits, risk assessments
• Track safety reporting in paper and digital systems
• Lead safety meetings and training initiatives
• Partner with operations to improve safety performance
• Monitor LOTO, machine guarding, PPE, and regulatory compliance
