Job summary

Essex Property Trust is seeking a Multi-Site Maintenance Supervisor to manage maintenance across properties in the Los Angeles area. You will lead technicians, oversee preventive maintenance, and respond to resident requests while ensuring safety, regulatory compliance, and cost controls.

You will coordinate with management to meet NOI goals, schedule preventive work, and maintain the property’s equipment and facilities.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of property management or related maintenance experience.
• HVAC and/or CPO license preferred.
• Knowledge of electrical, plumbing and appliance repair.
• Ability to operate a personal smart device for property operations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and property management software.
• Fluent in English; strong organizational and time management skills.
• Experience supervising two or more associates.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of maintenance technicians and assign tasks.
• Maintain the preventive maintenance schedule for all systems.
• Perform and oversee repairs and respond to work orders.
• Inspect property for safety hazards and compliance.
• Manage maintenance budget and coordinate with stakeholders.
• Provide top-tier customer service to residents and vendors.
• Be on-call for after-hours emergencies.
• Ensure OSHA safety procedures are followed.
