Job summary

Westminster Management in Jersey City, NJ, seeks a Leasing Manager to lead a multi-site leasing team for The Journal and 65 Bay Street luxury communities. You will drive marketing initiatives, oversee staff, and ensure a first-class experience for prospective and current residents.

You will supervise, coach, and set goals, while ensuring compliance and high conversion rates. This role requires weekend work and a strong customer-service mindset within a premier property group.

Qualifications

• Willingness to work weekends.
• Associate’s degree preferred or high school diploma required.
• 5+ years in property management, leasing, or sales.
• 2+ years of management experience leading a team.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Yardi, Zoom, Teams, and iOS devices.
• Strong understanding of fair housing laws and credit reporting.
• Valid Driver’s License required.
• Industry certifications/designations a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead a high-performing leasing staff and drive monthly goals.
• Schedule coverage for the workweek and conduct weekly leasing meetings.
• Coach new and current staff to sharpen sales techniques.
• Monitor call recordings for fair housing compliance.
• Audit lead tracking to improve conversion rates and update leasing statuses in Yardi.
• Maintain model units and tour routes in top condition.
• Greet prospects, understand needs, and tour apartments.
• Explain lease terms, complete applications, and assist new residents.
• Maintain top-tier resident relations with proactive communication.
