Job summary

Heidelberg Materials in Westchester, IL is seeking an Area Safety Manager to lead safety initiatives across multiple operations, promoting a strong safety-first culture and partnering with operations leaders to identify risks and drive improvements.

You will conduct audits, investigations, and training, analyze safety data, and communicate with employees and managers to reduce incidents while traveling to support sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in heavy industrial safety environments such as aggregates, mining, cement, or ready-mix.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA/Regulatory requirements and risk management.
• Ability to influence and coach across all organizational levels.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety initiatives across multiple operations to promote a safety-first culture.
• Partner with leaders to identify risks, implement corrective actions, and drive improvements.
• Conduct safety audits, inspections, and incident investigations for compliance and improvement.
