Job summary

BD, a leading healthcare company in the US, seeks an EHS Multi-Site Leader to manage Environmental, Health, and Safety across multiple sites in the Durham, NC area. The role provides strategic direction and coordination with Central EHS and senior operations for risk mitigation and compliance.

The successful candidate will oversee EHS programs, mentor site teams, and ensure timely action on findings, while aligning with BD values and safety culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or Occupational Health & Safety or related field.
• Certified Safety Professional (CSP) preferred to ensure ongoing EH&S knowledge.
• Minimum 7 years of experience directing EH&S programs.
• Experience designing strategies that support business goals.

Responsibilities

• Lead the EHS BU strategy and harmonize with Global Central EHS strategy.
• Oversee EHS resourcing and recruit Site EHS Leaders and key roles.
• Maintain relationships with Site Directors and report site priorities.
• Drive BD Excellence EHS components and oversee maturity assessments.
• Mentor site EHS teams and coordinate with Central EHS on policies and programs.
• Ensure site EHS metrics are accurate and audit-ready.
