Job summary

The Fountain Group is seeking a Desktop Support Technician to provide first-level IT support for end users across five sites. This on-site role will resolve desktop, laptop, mobile, network, and peripheral issues while upholding enterprise IT standards and cybersecurity requirements.

Based in the Charleston area, the position includes occasional travel up to an hour to other sites (10–15%), mileage reimbursement, potential after-hours work, and a 1-year initial term with extensions based on

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent IT experience required.
• 2+ years desktop support or help desk experience.
• Basic Windows OS, networking, and Active Directory knowledge.
• Experience in manufacturing or enterprise environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide first point of contact for IT support requests.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, printer, network, and connectivity issues.
• Manage incidents and service requests via ticketing system.
• Deploy and configure desktops, laptops, and devices.
• Assist with Active Directory account administration.
• Support endpoint security tools and patch management.
• Educate users on IT policies and best practices.
• Support deployment of mobile devices and enterprise mobility management.
• Participate in local IT projects and infrastructure upgrades.
