Job summary

The Neiders Company is seeking a Maintenance Technician 2 to perform hands-on maintenance and repairs across multiple apartment communities in the Seattle region. You will work independently and with on-site teams to uphold quality workmanship and legendary customer service.

Travel between properties is required, with emphasis on timely completions, safety, and appearance. The role supports day-to-day operations under the Maintenance Supervisor or Property Manager while ensuring resident

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 2 years of apartment maintenance or related maintenance experience required.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliance, carpentry, and other common apartment maintenance issues.
• Ability to work independently and safely while collaborating with on-site teams.
• Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of assigned maintenance tasks and ensure timely, accurate completion.
• Independently prioritize service requests based on urgency and resident needs.
• Maintain accurate work orders and document performed work.
• Respond professionally to resident maintenance requests and communicate timelines.
• Perform general maintenance and repairs across plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and appliances.
• Assist with preventive maintenance inspections and safety checks.
• Complete apartment turns and ensure high quality workmanship.
