Job summary

The Neiders Company is seeking a Maintenance Technician 2 to perform hands-on maintenance and repair across several apartment communities in the Seattle area. You will work independently on tasks, troubleshoot complex issues, and support day-to-day property operations under supervision.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, repairs across plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry, and maintaining safety and appearance of properties. Travel between communities is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; CAMT/EPA 608 Type II/CPO preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of apartment maintenance or related experience.
• Ability to troubleshoot plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliance, and carpentry issues.
• Ability to prioritize work orders and work independently with limited supervision.
• Experience with Yardi or similar property management software is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of maintenance tasks and ensure timely, quality work.
• Prioritize service requests based on urgency and resident needs.
• Maintain records and update work orders.
• Communicate clearly with residents about repairs and timelines.
• Perform preventive maintenance and safety inspections across properties.
