Job summary

The Gathering Spot in Atlanta, GA is seeking a dependable Maintenance Technician to oversee day-to-day upkeep across two properties. This role ensures safe, functional, and visually appealing spaces with hands-on repairs and vendor coordination.

You will perform routine inspections, manage building systems, and support event setup while maintaining accurate logs and documentation. A proactive, service-oriented approach is essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of maintenance or facilities experience, ideally in hospitality, commercial, or multi-property environments.
• Strong knowledge of general building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry.
• Ability to diagnose problems quickly and implement effective solutions.
• Experience managing vendors, contractors, and service providers.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks independently.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Must be dependable, professional, and responsive in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks including climbing ladders, bending, standing, and moving equipment.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends when needed.
• Valid driver’s license and/or reliable transportation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance across both properties.
• Maintain appearance, cleanliness, and functionality of interiors and exteriors.
• Troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, lighting, and general tasks.
• Coordinate and oversee outside vendors and contractors for repairs and maintenance projects.
• Ensure all work is safe, efficient, and compliant with standards and regulations.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies.
• Monitor supplies and inventory; place orders as needed.
• Assist with event setup/breakdown and operational support.
• Maintain maintenance logs, repair records, and vendor communications.
• Conduct walkthroughs to address maintenance or safety concerns; support leadership with improvements.
