Job summary

Meritus Property Group in Portland, ME is seeking a leasing agent to attract and retain tenants across our portfolio. You will conduct property tours, respond to inquiries, process applications, and prepare leases to keep buildings fully occupied.

Using CRM and Yardi Voyager, you’ll manage tenant records, upsell services, coordinate move-ins and inspections, and liaise with maintenance teams to ensure well‑maintained properties. Frequent commuting between properties is required.

Qualifications

• Strong leasing and sales skills with property management background.
• Proficient in CRM and Yardi Voyager for management tasks.
• Administrative skills for leases, applications, and docs.
• Excellent customer service to address tenant inquiries.
• Knowledge of maintenance procedures to coordinate repairs.

Responsibilities

• Conduct property tours and showcase available units to prospective tenants.
• Respond to inquiries and provide information about the property.
• Process rental applications, including background and credit checks.
• Prepare lease agreements and ensure paperwork is completed accurately.
• Coordinate move-in/move-out inspections with tenants.
• Address tenant concerns and maintenance requests promptly.
• Upsell services or amenities to current and prospective tenants.
• Maintain positive relationships with tenants for high satisfaction.
