Job summary

Chapman Management Group is seeking a Leasing Consultant to manage leasing activities for two or more properties in the Washington, DC area. You will generate leads, follow up daily, tour and lease apartments, and coordinate moves with maintenance while delivering top-tier customer service.

You will collaborate with a Property Manager/Leasing Manager, maintain detailed resident records, and contribute to occupancy goals and retention efforts while complying with company policies and safety rules.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• 1 year of sales or customer service experience preferred.
• 1 year of residential leasing experience preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• LIHTC experience preferred.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• English required; bilingual preferred.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Generate and manage prospective resident leads.
• Follow up with all prospective residents by phone, mail, or email daily.
• Convert leads to scheduled tours of the property.
• Qualify prospective residents for suitability.
• Tour and lease apartment homes.
• Assist with resident applications.
• Maintain accurate records of leads and communications.
• Provide assistance to current residents and update files daily.
• Coordinate move-in/out with maintenance and prepare service tickets.
• Orient new and existing residents to the property.
• Inspect apartments prior to move-ins and ensure readiness.
• Deliver notices to residents as needed.
• Participate in outreach and marketing programs.
• Follow safety policies and maintain compliance.
