Job summary

Chapman Management Group in Washington, DC is seeking an Assistant Property Manager & Leasing Consultant to support daily property operations, drive occupancy, and ensure resident satisfaction.

You will work with the Property Manager and Regional Manager to handle leasing, rent collections, compliance, and maintenance coordination across assigned communities. Strong organizational and customer service skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in property management, leasing, administrative support, customer service, or a related field.
• Residential leasing experience preferred.
• LIHTC, HUD, affordable housing, or subsidy program experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of rental housing programs and property management operations.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
• Bilingual skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Generate and manage prospective resident leads and schedule tours.
• Coordinate rent collections, move-ins/outs, and lease renewals.
• Maintain accurate records for residents, applicants, and properties.
• Assist with maintenance coordination and property administration.
• Deliver excellent customer service to residents and applicants.
• Ensure compliance with HUD, LIHTC, and subsidy program requirements.
