Job summary

Goodwin Recruiting seeks an experienced Corporate Director of Maintenance for an international hospitality group to lead engineering, facilities, and capital planning across a growing luxury portfolio. Establish standards, oversee preventive maintenance, and partner with ownership and executive leadership to ensure safe, efficient operations.

The role requires multi-property leadership, strong CAPEX budgeting, and the ability to travel up to 50% with relocation to the Northeast.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7+ years of progressive engineering or facilities leadership experience in hospitality or luxury environments.
• Multi-property or corporate engineering leadership experience required.
• Demonstrated success managing complex capital projects from planning through completion.
• Experience overseeing preventive maintenance programs across multiple facilities.
• Strong financial management experience, including operating and capital budgets.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a multi-year capital improvement plan across the portfolio.
• Lead operational capital projects including building systems replacements and infrastructure upgrades.
• Manage project scope, bidding, budgets, schedules, and delivery.
• Partner with Development and Construction teams on renovations and turnover to hotel operations.
• Conduct property condition assessments and translate findings into funded plans.
• Report status, capex, forecasting and budget performance to ownership and leadership.
• Establish and enforce standardized preventive maintenance programs across all properties.
• Develop engineering standards, SOPs, equipment specifications and maintenance procedures.
• Oversee all critical building systems and monitor performance.
• Ensure compliance with building codes and regulatory requirements across US and Europe.
• Direct exterior asset management and energy efficiency initiatives.
• Manage annual Repair & Maintenance and Capital budgets; monitor expenditures.
• Develop vendor relationships and negotiate service agreements.
• Support Pre-Opening and Opening for new properties.
