Job summary

Chapman Management Group in Washington, DC is seeking a Leasing Consultant to manage multiple properties and drive high occupancy through exceptional resident service. You will handle tours, screen applications, and coordinate move-ins/out with the property team.

The role requires strong customer service, basic MS Office skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Bilingual abilities are a plus and readiness to engage with residents daily.

Qualifications

• High school diploma is required.
• Minimum of one year of sales or customer service experience.
• One year of residential leasing experience preferred.
• Basic level knowledge with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• LIHTC experience preferred.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Bi-lingual is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Generates and manages prospective resident leads.
• Follows up with prospective residents daily via phone, mail, or email.
• Converts leads to scheduled property tours.
• Tours prospective residents and leases apartment homes.
• Assists with prospective resident applications.
• Maintains records of prospective leads in the computer system.
• Provides assistance to current residents and updates their files.
• Inspects apartments before move-ins and coordinates move-in/out with maintenance.
• Orients residents to the property and conducts regular property checks.
• Completes weekly leasing reports accurately and on time.
• Keeps knowledge of competitor communities up to date.
• Participates in marketing programs and resident events.
• Delivers notices to residents and complies with policies and safety rules.
