Job summary

PALA Interstate, LLC is seeking skilled welders in Hammond, LA to join a team focused on flux core, TIG, stick, and arc gouge welding across multiple positions and materials. The role emphasizes safety, quality, and the ability to read blueprints and WPSs.

Qualifications

• Minimum four years’ experience as a certified welder or two years’ certified welder plus 2 years’ ABC or equivalent training.
• Experience in stick and TIG pipe welding.
• Experience welding carbon steel, stainless steel and various alloys.
• Must pass required welding test at the job site.

Responsibilities

• Perform welding tasks using flux core, TIG, stick and arc gouge processes on carbon steel, stainless steel and alloys.
• Complete welds in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions.
• Clean and prepare welds for inspection by removing slag and splatter.
• Inspect welds for quality to meet standards before shop QC review.
• Read WPSs, blueprints and technical drawings to determine welding requirements.
• Assemble metal components using appropriate welding techniques and tools.
• Maintain welding equipment and workspace in a clean, safe manner.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines.
