PALA Interstate, LLC is seeking skilled combo welders in Hammond, LA. You will perform flux core, TIG, stick, and arc gouge welding on carbon steel, stainless, and alloys in multiple positions. Strong attention to detail, safety, and quality are required.

The role requires reading WPS and blueprints, assembling components, and maintaining tools and workspace. Training and safety are emphasized, with comprehensive benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Four+ years as a certified welder, or two years as CW plus two years training.
• Experience in stick and TIG pipe welding.
• Experience welding carbon, stainless steel and various alloys.
• Must pass job-site welding test.

Responsibilities

• Weld using flux core, TIG, stick, and arc gouge on various materials.
• Complete welds in flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead positions.
• Clean welds by removing slag and splatter.
• Inspect welds to meet standards before shop QC.
• Use angle grinder and end grinder.
• Read WPS, blueprints, and drawings to determine welds.
• Assemble metal components using proper welding techniques.
• Maintain welding equipment and workspace.
• Follow all safety protocols.
• Troubleshoot welding issues during fabrication.
