PALA Interstate, LLC is hiring skilled welders in Hammond, LA. The role involves performing flux core, TIG, stick and arc gouge welding on carbon steel, stainless steel, and various alloys. You will read WPS, blueprints, and specs to execute welds in multiple positions while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Candidates should have 4+ years as a certified welder or 2+ years plus ABC training. A strong emphasis on safety and teamwork is required in this fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum four years' experience as a certified welder, or two years' experience as Certified Welder plus two years' ABC or equivalent training.
• Experienced in stick and TIG pipe welding.
• Experienced in welding carbon, stainless steel and various alloys.
• Must pass required welding test as required by the specific job site.

Responsibilities

• Perform welding tasks using flux core, TIG, stick, and arc gouge welding processes on carbon steel, stainless steel and various alloys.
• Complete welds in flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead positions.
• Clean and prepare welds for inspection by removing slag, splatter, and BB's.
• Inspect completed welds for quality and ensure they meet standards prior to QC inspection.
• Read and interpret WPS's, blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine welding requirements.
• Assemble metal components and structures using appropriate welding techniques and tools.
• Maintain welding equipment and workspace in a clean and organized manner.
